Blake Vida

Dr. Blake earned an undergraduate degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He continued his education at the University of Michigan where he earned a Master of Sciences in Toxicology. During his time in Michigan, he felt a calling towards veterinary medicine and pursued his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. He entered private practice in Alexandria, Virginia where he met his wife, Dr. Kelly. Not long after, they moved to the Charlotte area to be closer to family. He and his wife founded Sherrills Ford Animal Hospital in 2022.
His professional interests include internal medicine, surgery and dentistry. He has received his Cat Friendly Veterinarian certification through the American Association of Feline Practitioners and is a Fear Free certified veterinarian. While he loves the challenges presented by practicing medicine, he is passionate that one of the best parts of veterinary medicine is caring for the entire family and the ability to improve client’s lives through their pets.
Dr. Blake and his wife have two wonderful children. Their household is warm and energetic with their young Labrador and three cats. In his spare time, Dr. Blake is an avid hiker and camper and enjoys time outdoors where he can refine his photography hobby. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family.
Kelly Vida

Dr. Kelly attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she received both her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine—Go Vols! After completing veterinary school, she moved to Northern Virginia where she worked for several years before eventually meeting Dr. Blake. They married and moved from Virginia to North Carolina where they together established Sherrills Ford Animal Hospital.
Dr. Kelly has a strong interest in both abdominal ultrasonography and ophthalmology and has taken numerous continuing education courses across the country on both topics. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has a goal for making all visits as comfortable as possible for each patient and their families. Being very detail oriented, she will also assure all of your questions and concerns are answered regarding your pet's care.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Kelly enjoys taking barre classes, baking and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Lead Registered Veterinary Technician
Madison moved to Charlotte from the Greensboro area in 2016 to pursue her dream of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She married her high school sweetheart and together they have six rescue dogs and cats. In her free time she loves to paint, travel and walk her pups. She is passionate about the human-animal bond and its mutual benefit to people and pets.

Ever since childhood Ashley has had an affinity for animals. When at work, her passion for veterinary medicine is shown by providing consistent, compassionate, quality fear-free based patient care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her husband and spoiling their diverse group of animal companions.
